New Orleans:   These are some older plein air paintings of New Orleans and the region still available for purchase. Click on any painting in a block to enlarge and see all paintings in the block sequentially as a slide show. The alpha numeric ID number that appears when you position the cursor over an image can be used to address inquiries to me at my e-mail account, sandmany11@cox.net . My latest pieces of New Orleans are mostly at the Cole Pratt Gallery in New Orleans but there are also many pieces at the Reinike Gallery in Atlanta and my studio in New Orleans. Any pieces purchased from my studio are, in effect, purchased through the Cole Pratt Gallery, my exclusive agent for the state of Louisiana. My first book, "New Orleans en Plein Air" has color reproductions of 150 of the paintings that I did of New Orleans spanning 1987 to 2002, making a sweeping portrait of the whole city. It also has excellent text about vision, painting, and my specific technique. My second book, "Painting Katrina" has 30 paintings of  New Orleans in the year or so prior to Katrina and about 45 paintings that I did of the hurricane destruction of New Orleans, with text that journals my experience painting the hurricane destruction.
