In commemoration of the 10th anniversary of Katrina, I gave a slide presentation at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Art, Friday, August 28, 6:00 pm, entitled “Painting Katrina.” It provided an overview of my work and philosophy and recounted my adventures painting the hurricane destruction in the immediate aftermath of the storm. The presentation was well attended thanks to the marketing efforts of Kris Wenschuh. I sold many copies of my book, “Painting Katrina” and a few digital archival prints of my Katrina paintings.
