There’s a nice grouping of 6 of my new paintings on display at the Cole Pratt Gallery, 3800 Magazine Street, for Art for Art’s Sake. I’ll be at the opening this Saturday, October 3, 2015. It’s open to the public.

My portrait painting class didn’t make this semester but I plan to offer it again next semester.

In commemoration of the 10th anniversary of Katrina, I gave a slide presentation at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Art, Friday, August 28, 6:00 pm, entitled “Painting Katrina.” It provided an overview of my work and philosophy and recounted my adventures painting the hurricane destruction in the immediate aftermath of the storm. The presentation was well attended thanks to the marketing efforts of Kris Wenschuh. I sold many copies of my book, “Painting Katrina” and a few digital archival prints of my Katrina paintings.

I’ve released a new series of digital archival prints commemorating the 10^th anniversary of Katrina. Nineteen of my plein air paintings of the hurricane destruction are reproduced full size. You can see and purchase them on this website.

My private plein air landscape painting class is ongoing Thursday 8:30 to 11:30am. In the fall semester I’m offering two classes through the New Orleans Academy of Fine Art – portrait painting, Tuesday 6 to 9pm, and plein air landscape painting, Saturday, 8:30 to 11:30am.
